Rainforest Theatre is another twenty-something company. Producing all new plays and mostly casting actors under thirty, the company offers all of its shows by donation (or free) to audiences and pays its actors a profit share. The company also regularly produces Theatrefest which was created to give other companies and solo performers an opportunity to stage their shows affordably (a venue is provided by donation). www.Theatrefest.org and www.RainforestTheatre.com.

Last night I went to Opening Night of Tick, Tick...Boom at the JCC and I would venture that 95% (maybe more since the exception was 1 or 2) were all under the age of 35.

This makes me a VERY happy theatre producer indeed!
